Use this form for any carpet or upholstery cleaning inquiries. The more information provided, the more of a detailed assessment I can provide for your inquiry.

Things to include if applicable: Are there pet issues? Will furniture be moved with the cleaning or will it primarily be traffic patterns? If you have dimensions of the rooms to be cleaned that is extremely helpful. Is the carpet wool or synthetic?

What material is the upholstery that needs to be cleaned? Is there a cleaning indicator tag underneath the cushions that says what the best cleaning method for the piece is?

When does the cleaning need to take place? ASAP or next available. Typically I schedule two weeks out in the busy season (March-October). I am flexible with my schedule and do my best to accommodate your cleaning needs.

Again, the more information that is provided, the more accurately I can give an assessment without actually seeing the carpet in person. I am happy to schedule in-person estimates as well.

RESIDENTIAL CLEANING IS THE MOST COMMON WORK PERFORMED. FROM WOOL BERBER TO SYNTHETIC TWIST PILE CARPET, CERTIFIED CLEANS IT ALL. 

THE PROCESS BEGINS WITH A COMPREHENSIVE WALK-THROUGH WITH THE CUSTOMER. THIS ALLOWS ME TO SEE WITH WHAT ISSUES THE CUSTOMER IS CONCERNED, AS WELL AS FOR MY TRAINED EYE TO SEE ANY OTHER UNDERLYING ISSUES. THE AREAS TO BE CLEANED ARE THEN MEASURED, AND A PRICE IS DETERMINED. 

NEXT, THE AREAS TO BE CLEANED ARE VACUUMED WITH A COMMERCIAL GRADE UPRIGHT, WHICH REMOVES THE LOOSE AND SOLID SOILS. PRE-TREATMENT SPRAYS AND CHEMICALS ARE THEN APPLIED AS NECESSARY. 

WHILE THE CHEMICALS WORK ON THE TROUBLE AREAS AND SPOTS, THE TRUCK MOUNT IS SET UP. WE TAKE PRECAUTIONS FOR ALL OF OUR CUSTOMERS TO ENSURE THERE ARE NO ISSUES OF PROPERTY DAMAGE. WE ALWAYS USE CORNER PROTECTORS, AS WELL AS CANVAS TARPS OVER ALL HARD SURFACES.

EACH ROOM IS CLEANED ONE BY ONE, WITH THE ABOVE STEPS BEING REPEATED. ADDITIONAL CHEMICAL TREATMENT MAY BE APPLIED, DEPENDING ON THE SEVERITY AND STUBBORNNESS OF THE SPOT.

FINALLY, THE CARPET IS GROOMED WITH THE APPROPRIATE GROOMING TOOL. THIS ENSURES A UNIFORM DRYING AND END RESULT THAT IS FRESH AND REJUVENATING FOR THE CARPET AND THOSE THAT WALK UPON IT.

About

IT ALL STARTED IN 1910…

Between 1910 and 1912, a rug cleaning plant was built in what we now know as Historic Hyde Park in Boise, Idaho. This facility was owned by Troy Capital Laundry, which employed a man named Billy Dunne, Billy's son, Frank Dunne, and a friend, Bill Simpson. Frank and Bill cleaned area rugs and, as business grew, they decided to clean rugs full time under the name "Certified Rug and Upholstery Cleaners." Frank and Bill also began offering other services, such as upholstery cleaning and wall-to-wall carpet cleaning.

In 1985, Frank was still running the plant but was nearing retirement. His son, Jerry, began re-learning the trade that he had known in his younger years. Jerry officially took over the locally owned business in 1990 and ran it successfully until it was his turn to retire in the Autumn of 2017. The historic plant was sold, but still remains in Hyde Park to this day.

Austin Tromburg began working at Certified in May of 2008 and continued as a Carpet Cleaning technician, and later the location services manager until the plant closed in late 2017. At that time, he and Jerry decided that Austin would purchase the rights to company name and phone number, as well as a truck and mount. 

As of December 1st, 2017; Certified took on a new form as an LLC with Austin Tromburg at the helm. The other services of Rug and Upholstery Cleaning are no longer offered at this time, but Austin hopes eventually to be able to offer them, as he was trained by the original masters in the ten years he spent in the Hyde Park plant. 

Austin has been certified by the IICRC since 2008 in the field of Carpet Cleaning, and follows all current industry standards in his work.
